Call for Researchers on Health Law

Topic: Competition Law and Pharmacy Law – How they integrate with each other and how they clash

 

The International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) and the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) are working together in collaboration with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) on a joint research project in the area of Health Law. Health Law is the International Focus Programme of ELSA for the years 2010-13.

A total of 2 students (1 from ELSA and 1 from IPSF) will be working together on this project. The project is expected to be run over a period of 1 year, until September 2012, with supervision from FIP at all times.

The researchers will be living in the Hague, the Netherlands between 1 to 6 months and will be working at the FIP Headquarters.

Selection criteria

·         Completed at least two years of law studies.

·         Evidence of ability to function in different cultural and social environments.

·         Good working knowledge in English especially in writing.

·         Possess good analytical, methodical and writing skills.

·         Experience in research or statistics preferred.

Application process

Main Researcher

The International Boards of ELSA and IPSF will be responsible for the final selection of successful candidates. Successful applicants will not be financially remunerated by ELSA, IPSF or FIP. Applicants are responsible for their own travel and living expenses. However, the accommodation will be provided.

The MAIN RESEARCHER will be responsible to move to The Hague to carry out the research and co-ordinate the overall workflow in close co-operation with FIP Professionals.  The Successful applicant will not be financially remunerated by ELSA, IPSF or FIP. Applicants are responsible for their own travel and living expenses. However, the accommodation will be provided. The ELSA’s Researcher together with IPSF’s Researcher should submit the final report and present it through our different events. The main Researcher will move to The Hague from the second week of January, 2012 until March, 2012 before final report will be presented.

National Researchers

However, the NATIONAL RESEARCHERS will conduct the research from their own countries. Research topics will be negotiated together with the Main researcher of ELSA and IPSF. Moreover, the National Researchers should fill in a survey provided by the ELSA researcher and after doing the necessary research and provide the data to the main researcher. The National Researchers will be working on the project between January, 2012 and April, 2012.
