ELSA believes that Human Rights are the basis of a peaceful society and vital for the respect of the rule of law.
To broaden the Association’s social dimension based on its Philosophy Statement "A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity" and to efficiently integrate Human Rights in all fields of activities, ELSA has had a permanent commitment to Human Rights since 1995.

Throughout the year, various events are organised by ELSA to educate law students in Human Rights Law. The activities are not only supplementing the curricular education in an important field of law, but also widening horizons and showing the interconnection between education and the world we live in.
By creating Human Rights awareness in the entire network of ELSA, comprising of law students and professionals, and encouraging law students to act for the good of society, ELSA creates a basis for real and effective enforcement of Human Rights.
